Who Am I?

PRODUCTION ANTECEDENTS

Ana María Mónaco is an independent producer of national and international advertising spots and long length feature films. During the mid eighties she began to work on television and advertising films production. She also worked on casting and investigation in productions as “Camila” and “La República Perdida II” (The Lost Republic II).

She produced with Carlos Sorín as Director more than a hundred advertising film spots, together with important advertising agencies – Agulla & Baccetti, Pragma, Ratto, Colonesse, Ricardo de Luca, Casares Grey, Gowland, Lautrec, etc.
 
At the beginning of the ninety’s she went to Madrid and lived there for 4 years. She worked for independent TV , advertising companies.
She also worked in the Casting Department “Caras Nuevas” (New Faces), where stars like Penélope Cruz and Tristán Ulloa were discovered.

As Executive Producer she won contests for subsidies and funds of different entities:  INCAA (The National Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts) – Ibermedia - Screen European Fund.

Nowadays she specializes in Budget Control and Project Presentation to International Organizations that offer aid funds for project development.

At the beginning of the new millennium she has acquired a great experience in co-produced projects.

EDUCATIONAL ANTECEDENTS

Backed by a great experience as Unit Production Manager, she carries on academic activities at the UBA (Buenos AiresUniversity), and also at the ENERC (School of Cinematography and Experimentation) and at the School of Professional Cinematography of Eliseo Subiela.
Through her specialized seminaries she is interested in training future producers able to generate and develop a competitive and creative cinematography industry.
